Position running for: City Council District 2 

Question 1: "You're driving along and you encounter a person on a bicycle taking up the entire lane. What is your reaction?    

A, That's illegal and they should be riding on the sidewalk.    

B, Intimidate them so they will learn their place on the roadway.    

C, It's okay to hit them with your car, and it's their fault for being in the way.    

D, None of the above.    

Reason for answer:  Assuming that the cyclist is in the pathway of the car does not give motorist the right to  take aggressive action. Cyclist have every right to the road as much as other motorized  vehicles, Especially when cars are parked (legally) in a pathway where otherwise would be a bike lane.

Question 2: Running for Council: Will you as a Council Member focus on putting down a Protected Bicycle Lane on the busiest corridor in your district? And what is the busiest corridor in your district? 
Yes  
Comments:  There are several busy corridors in my district. To name a few:Commerce, New Braunfels, Houston, Broadway, Austin Hwy, WW White, FM 78, Risby,Foster Rd., Walzem, Eisenhower, Ritterman,

Question 3:  How should the Linear Creekways be funded, and on which improvement to the Linear Creekway do you want the funds to be spent?   
Answer:   Although I have not looked at this issue specifically, I would like to look at  funding our Linear Creekways through a 1/4 of a cent tax through our convention tax so that local residents are able to get a benefit from tourist coming into our city.

Question 4:  "Do you support increased funds to expand and maintain VIA bus services and routes?"    
Yes
Reason for answer:  Trying to get Texans and American out of their cars and into mass transit or alternate  transit should be our long-term goal.  And, we should try to come up with incentives to  encourage people into mass transit.

Question 5:  "Should funding for more bicycle lanes and pedestrian safety education be included in the city's annual transportation budget?"   
Yes
Reason for Answer:  This is so, important! We much teach why saving our environment is important! This includes how we travel and our choice of transportation is very important.
