Position running for: City Council District 2  

Question 1: "You're driving along and you encounter a person on a bicycle taking up the entire lane. What is your reaction?    

A, That's illegal and they should be riding on the sidewalk.    

B, Intimidate them so they will learn their place on the roadway.    

C, It's okay to hit them with your car, and it's their fault for being in the way.    

D, None of the above.    

Reason for answer:  I’m driving my car and they’re driving their bike. Not a big deal to me especially if there’s no bike lane.

Question 2: Running for Council: Will you as a Council Member focus on putting down a Protected Bicycle Lane on the busiest corridor in your district? And what is the busiest corridor in your district? 
Yes   
Comments:  WW White on the upper East. New Braunfels on the lower East. Walzem/Rittiman/Eisenhower on near north east. Austin highway on the north east and Broadway near downtown. 

We have a lot of busy corridors in our district.

Question 3:  "How should the Linear Creekways be funded, and on which improvement to the Linear Creekway do you want the funds to be spent?"   
Answer: Not exactly sure how they are funded outside of the general fund. I know there was investment through city bonds as well as county allocations. There’s a lot of investment in D2 for this project. I’d like to see more trailheads and better lighting.

Question 4:  "Do you support increased funds to expand and maintain VIA bus services and routes?"    
Yes
Reason for answer:  We need to invest in our transportation system. We’ve been building highways for decades for billions of dollars. Why not bike lanes hov lanes, investment in VIA etc. with all things let’s allow data to play a part in investment though. 

Question 5:  "Should funding for more bicycle lanes and pedestrian safety education be included in the city's annual transportation budget?"   
Yes
Reason for Answer::  yes. Too many injuries and deaths on our roads.

Update:  Virgin has since got out of the Brightline deal.  In Part I , I went over the results of us having the transportation built for you to consume as much oil as possible. In Part II , I pointed out how the propaganda is there to convince you that driving is the best thing since sliced bread. Now in Part III, I explain how all Transportation Requires Welfare for we as a society don't believe in this reality.  Like the title says, all transportation requires welfare and always has needed subsidies of some form or another. People don’t understand this nor want to understand that for the whole of civilization, all transportation requires some form of welfare. The reason why we don’t accept this reality is because we hold onto the myth that it’s the private sector’s job to provide transportation services which omits the fact that the infrastructure that the private sector uses to earn money on is built and paid for by governments. Have you ever wondered why you have to drive a car to get around, why public transportation is unreliable and no matter what, your intercity travel options are either by car, Greyhound or flying with airlines who will cancel your flight on a whim . The answer is surprisingly simple; our transportation system is designed for you to have to consume as much oil as possible. If any other alternative to driving is presented to the public, political entities that are against the alternatives along with the local newspapers will tell you that nobody wants it, not enough people will use and they'll tell you that it will make your life a living nightmare when driving.  Now you're probably asking how did I come to the conclusion that our transportation system is designed to force you to consume as much oil as possible?
